The Marrakech Express!!!!

We took the Marrakech Express from Casa this morning and arrived in the hot, exotic city of Marrakech. It's Oct.2 and the heat was unbearable after exploring a little I quickly led Marc to the shade of a garden behind the famous mosque and we waited for the heat to subside a bit. Marc located a pelican nest(picture) and then we headed for the souks. There is everything and you can't show much interest or you are trapped in their little booths - I made a faux pas and tried to thank a very charming Arab man by shaking his hand. Men do not shake other woman's hands!!! He explained everything and told me that woman were so precious they are better kept safe at home!
We are staying at a wonderful Riad and will explore the city tomorrow. Then we head to the Ocean and relax. Will continue the blog and try and add a picture or 2 before I lose battery power.

Wow!!! The heat sounds intense!!
It all sounds so exciting. All your senses must be jumping for joy. So many the new sounds, sights, scents and tastes. I guess you have learned to keep your hands to your self. The gentleman was right about one thing. You are precious. In contrast, the weather here was coool but sunny. I spent the weekend in Bancroft where The trees on the hills were a blaze of colours and as hot looking as a campfire. I hope the ocean was relaxing & you cooled down.
